Our volunteer program is currently under development. Please check back regularly for more volunteer program opportunities and announcements.

Volunteer Opportunities

Tutor

Work with individuals or small groups during the school day in Math or English classes. Training for the program, Partners in Math and Literature, is provided by the Austin Partners in Education Program. Regularly meet with the teachers and work with other volunteers in the classroom.

Mentor

Develop a mentor relationship with an individual girl and by doing so, extend your support and guidance to her. Regularly meet with the counselor.

Office Volunteer

Assist the office staff in a variety of jobs, including making copies for teachers, answering the phone, sorting the mail, delivering items to classes, etc.

Library Volunteer

Help the librarian with cataloging, shelving, and checking out books, as well as organizing the library.

Technology Troubleshooter

Be on hand to fix simple technology snags; offer research instruction on the use of different types of software, websites, and hardware.

How to Become a Volunteer

1. Visit www.austinpartners.org
2. Select "Volunteer Center"
3. Select the Ann Richards School
4. Click on "Register Now"
5. Scroll through the volunteer choices and select the one that interests you
6. Select the opportunity and "Sign Up for that Opportunity"
7. You will then be taken to a login screen. Choose New Volunteer Signup
8. This will take you to our registration system. Please enter contact information.

Tip: This system asks volunteers for a lot of information, but not all of it is important if you already know what you want to do. To save some time, you can just fill in the first page, click on Finish, and you will be taken to the Must Fill fields.
